I'm standing at the window, watching the clouds roll in. The clouds that will wain on the beautiful day that is now. The rain that uins everything that is great about today. I'm opening the window now, not sure if I'm on the inside looking out, or on the outside looking in. Not sure if there is more on the other side, or if the other side is here. I'm climbing into the window now, ready to go to the other side. Ready to find out which side I'm really on. Ready to experience all that is not here. I'm standing in the window now, the window for which I no longer hold fear. The window that I know I must see the other side through. I am no longer in the window, for I have reached a conclusion. The conclusion that there is no meaning of life, and I am free. |

Such a sad bleak view from soul's window, and very well written. If eyes are the windows of the soul, mine are gray by nature; no matter the hue, yours are simply filled with gray if this is written from the fount within. Turn the gaze from outer window to study the inner pane of pain. If another smeared fingerprints along soul's view, use acceptence to wipe them away, or else learn to see past distorted view. This is an odd piece... the pain and uncertainity is evident, but how does one arrive on the conclusion that life is devoid of meaning and yet you are free? I can't see how can have freedom and have life devoid of purpose.. you should be able to create meaning if you're free... Just my thoughts.. maybe you could explain? |

The inspiration for this piece caused me to realize that there really is no meaning of life. Life is inherently devoid of meaning. Based on that, I have concluded that I am free from life. I no longer look for a meaning because I am sure that the only meaning that life has is the one that I give it. With that, I am set free in life. A life that has no meaning, but one that is open to everything. Hope that clears things up a bit. |

My conclusion is.. that this is a great piece of work. I had a different interpretation from the replies, re-read came away with yet another thought. Really good work and I enjoyed it much.  marcy |
