Me and a friend wrote this story, while trying to ignore our geometry teacher.  Hope you enjoy it a bit. The day was rising over the ship's main deck. Jupiter, as the ship was called, was just arriving at a new spaceport on the outer-rim galaxy cluster. The captain called her main crew to the deck. They were all waking up from their long and unnatural sleep. As they returned to the deck after those long 10 years, they stumbled a bit. As they began to waken up by more numbers, they began to stir with excitement. "Beautiful… Magnificent…" These words and others were heard throughout the crowd. This moment was made bitter sweet by the thought of their home oh, so long ago. Then, without warning, they heard a loud Crack! The loud noise seemed to boom through the Jupiter. The sirens on board begun to cry out the alarm. The crew on deck stumbled to their stations. They checked all the functions, but could find no damage to report. There appeared to be nothing wrong, yet the alarms continued to sound on… "It's…Right…Attack Weapons…Stand down… Captain Roseen…you alright?" "Yes, but what was that noise, and why am I not receiving you clearly?" Cassie, as her friends called her, said responding to the garbled message. Knowing something was wrong; she called the shields up to maximum. AS they went up, she called back to Erin, "Erin, can you hear me?" She waited, but received no response. "Erin?" Cassie asked over the "secret frequency." "NOT Erin!" the creature roared from the other end of the frequency. "I have taken over, there is no escape!" "Oh no, they woke it up!" Cassie shouted. She called weapons up. "Well, yah know what they say," Richey said while calling for more power, "Curiosity killed the Gahorknic!" Cassie growled with frustration. She would severely injury Richey when she got her hands on him. Suddenly, she had an idea. "Hey NINJA! Put Richey on the emergency transport," she said as she stretched her Russian accent for emphasis. As the transport neared the station, Richey cursed them all for sending him to sever danger. "Oh, they'll pay," he said. Richey climbed out of the hatch and turned on his light beam. By this time he was forgetting about his curses and concentrating on the creaking noises above and all around him. "AHHHHHH!" Richey screamed as he dropped to the floor. As Cassie watched him on the main screen, she shook her head. She had sent a drunken fool to save their mission. As she watched him, he began to cry. Curiously she panned the screen around and saw their monster. There, dancing up to Richey, was a big, pink, fuzzy monster. "I'm sorry I scared you, but I was just dancing! Smile, get up, join the party," the monster said in his deep voice. Then Richey saw that it wasn't scary after all. It was a party! "What's wrong? Oh, the message… I'm such a goof. I Sata on the communicator," the fuzzy monster said, almost reading Richey's mind, "Want Cake?" "Even a fool knows you can't touch the stars, but it doesn't stop a wise man from trying."
