He was my life, my reason for living, and then he said goodbye. He left me alone. In the dark corner of my soul, there are many hidden secrets, some he may never learn of, and others, I'm sure he already knows. You see the secrets in my eyes, where no one else has even looked. You took me into your arms, and led me into your heart and showed me that some people do care. That was just a week ago, and already things have changed. They see me, no longer as a wondering soul looking for purpose, but as a female, a woman, with an unheard of past. Up until a week ago, I believed the words she said where true, that I didn’t deserve to be loved. I now realize that can't be true, if it where, I would have never met someone like you. If they were true, you wouldn’t be a part of my life right now. You took me into your arms and showed me that I am loved, and even more so, I don’t deserve to have to look at these scars on my arms. All I have left to say to you is “Thank you. Thank you for always being there. Thank you for lending your shoulder. I am glad that you found someone who made you realize that you deserve to be loved. We all do and each of us is worthy of such. Never lose that faith and never let someone get away with telling you other wise. |
