You look at me, knowing I'm taken.  Maybe you wonder just what they see in me.  Let me tell you, you may never see nor even know what they see when they look at me.  It’s rare for me to show what they know to people outside of our group.  Occasionally, our eyes may meet, but I just continue with my work, with thoughts of Andrew flying through my head.  Maybe you see the smile begin to form on my face and wonder why.  Perhaps its because I'm thinking of my boyfriend, or perhaps it goes deeper.  The teacher goes on, it seems as though I'm listening, but I'm not, for all I have on my mind is Andrew.

Ah, Andrew, the one that keeps me sane.  In the middle of this madness, he keeps me sane, even though hes so far away.  Just thinking of him calms me down.   You may wonder just how my mood changes so rapidly, that’s the reason. When I first walk into class, it may seem that I'm pissed, but before we’re even done the warm-ups, there is a smile beginning to form on my face.

Its amazing how much someone can effect another’s life, sometimes without being a part of it.  I, a mere 17 years of age, know all too well the pain of an abusive relationship.  Andrew brought me out of my shell, and (dare I say) I fell in love with him almost instantly.  Of course he never knew until he was about to leave.  No matter what Andrew was always there.  Maybe my pain is what they see that you do not.

You may see a lot of things throughout this year out of me that may surprise you; you may even see tears falling from my eyes.  That is not a rare event, but it is rare for me to share my pain with a room full of people.

Well, this room of people welcomes you, pain or no. It seems to me that you either have a good control over your pain, or like some, thrive in it. This is clearly written and easy to follow.

I'm beginning to enjoy pain, because it gives me something meaningful to write about
