Close your eyes. When life gets to be too much, there is a magical place. A paradise. The sun shines clearer here than anywhere else. The sky is always blue... and you’re always with the one you love. And it’s always perfect love. There is no one else there to complicate anything. It’s the way you want the world to be. It’s something like Heaven, I guess. But you don’t have to die to get there. All you have to do is close your eyes. It’s right there, but so many people never know about it. You’ll never know it was missing until you find it... I go here every day. I see him look into the eyes of another, and I have two choices. I get away from my life by closing my eyes, instead of another way... I just close my eyes, and there he is. He looks into MY eyes... I am in control. There is no one around saying “He isn’t right for you” “There are other fish in the sea...” it is just him and me. The birds sing, and the sun shines. Wild flowers grow everywhere. There are no doubts or worries. Just love, joy... whatever I want. Yes, I have to return back into my real world, but I have this memory with me, this kind of hope. Some say that it’s a pathetic way to live, to live in a daydream. But it isn’t just a daydream; it is a whole world. A perfect world, a much better world than we live in. No death, pain, sorrow, and only tears of joy. Is it so wrong to want this, to long for this, to live for this? I don’t think so... So, when the world we live in is too harsh, and you don’t think you can take it anymore, just go to this magical place. It’s easy to get to. All you have to do is close your eyes. "To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world" |

Ahh I see you have found my home Love Bug. This is the place where my stories are woven and they take on a life of their very own. It is not an unhealthy way to live unless you spend more time in your fantasies then you do in your reality. There is a definate difference and we should be able to see that. As long as we know what is real and what isn't there is no harm in letting your mind escape to happy place. Keep writing and keep dreaming.  |

I disagree that is the amount of time spent. Rather, I think it is the ablity to distinguish one from the other... The imagination can be a great healer, but be wary that it doesn't compell your life and prevent you from moving on! A poignant telling here, one reminiscent of a time in my own life.
