The men assembled around the dark mahogany table, a symbol of elegance within the tattered warehouse.  The men were dressed in stained and bedraggled finery and had the shifty eyes of lawless men.  On the table in front of them stood a tattered map of the imperial palace and circled in bright red ink was the royal treasury, containing enough wealth to run a kingdom for a great length of time.

The men whisper in hushed voices without even the slightest idea that they are being watched.  In the darkness the young man clutches a dagger to his chest.  His fingers grip the simple wooden hilt hard and his hands are sweating fiercely.  In his eyes gleamed a righteous light, even as he hung in the foul smelling shadows of the warehouse, he knew he was doing right.

The men’s’ backs  are all turned and he thinks the time to strike has come.  Surely he can kill men who are not expecting him, he thinks.  And with that thought in mind, he leaps from the shadows, dagger in hand, scratching a thief in the back.

The blood trickling down his back sickens the young man, but he moves through them like a dervish, spinning and slicing.  The men’s eye’s open in stark terror, and they bolt from the room.  The young man stands there panting, a triumphant smile on his face.

Later the thieves have gathered to talk again.

“Did you see that child that attacked us?  That little devil!  Are plans were so perfect too!”  yelled a blonde thief.

“I know!  It was horrifying!”  replied a thief with a ruby hilted dagger.

“Yeah, he sure was good with that dagger of his!” replied the blonde thief.

“What are you talking about?  Didn’t you see his face?”

i know this was really bad, but I just had to write something to go with that scary pic over there!

I liked it Abe...give us more though!  And that pic isn't scary!  Ruby Dagger would say that you're awfully cute and you know it! Keep up the good work, my friend!

Cool story from me as well, though I hope you don't mind if I refrain from making any comments about your attractiveness!

Thank you all for your comments!

You're not going to comment on my attractiveness, Christopher?  LOL, get in touch with the feminine side!      "Human pride sings a vengeful song, inspired by the times you've been walked on" - Creed - "What If"
