Oh Really

It was a wonderful spring day, when anyone in their right mind should be out enjoying it. Nothing like the smell of fresh cut grass and a tranquil stroll in the park.

A Proper Lady seating on a bench with her head held high, looking around, asked a Dignified Gentleman next to her. "Do you know what dreams bees have when they're not visiting flowers, or what birds are thinking when they're not singing? Mmmm?"

The Dignified Gentleman responded, now with his head held high also. "What ever for? Ah..hmm. Butterflies know how to fly when they're still caterpillar and they are not afraid of scarecrows.

"Oh..." astounded with a new pit of knowledge. "I didn't know..." Replied the Proper Lady.

Grinning the Gentleman said. "I always thought roses were harmless pretty flowers until one bit me." delighted to be able to share some knowledge. "I--guess. That's why...some are red.

"Quiet now. Or someone will hear us." The Proper Lady said, "Wouldn't want anyone to know... We're smart." As a man approached wearing a plaid shirt with it's tail hanging out. Walked by and took a seat at a bench next to them. Both the Proper Lady and the Dignified Gentleman made gestures toward each other with their eyes while looking straight ahead.

The Man in the plaid shirt raised his brow and said. "Did you know that they've let the monkeys out of the zoo and they're stealing all the bananas from the trees?" directing his question to them.
While an other lady dressed in a white uniform walked up to them and stood waiting patiently.

"Oh really?" said the Proper Lady moving her head from side to side sounding amazed.

The Dignified Gentleman looked at the Proper Lady and said. "Well?"

"You people will have to come inside now and take your medication." The Lady dressed in a white uniform said.

"Well! All right." The proper lady said staring at the badge on her shirt which read:

HOME FOR THE HOPELESSLY INSANE.

The Lady in the white uniform started walking toward the institution with the Proper Lady and Dignified Gentleman strolling behind her, the Man in the plaid shirt behind them.

"I do hope they have a spot of bee tea today" The Proper Lady said.

"How wonderful, to eat a banana. The man in the plaid shirt said.
They're so few of them in the trees today."

"Oh, butterfly soup would definitely be pleasant." The dignified man said. As they entered large doors, led by the lady in the white uniform down a hallway to a window for their little pills. Which they all took quite enjoyably as if it were candy.

"Well. Since you've all been so good today. We have a special treat." The lady in the white uniform said. Leading them further down the hall to a door opening it. Motioning them to go and have a seat in chairs behind desks. "We're going to let you play on the Internet." referring to the computers on the desks.

"Oh...it's so fun playing on the Internet" The Dignified Man said, sitting down. "No one really knows who you are."

"Oh really..." said the proper lady, "Haven't you got an email account?" annoyingly, as a matter of fact, sitting next to him.

"Monkey see, monkey do." Said the Man in the plaid shirt. "I'm going to trade my bananas for eight dollars a share." taking his seat.

"Don't forget about me." The Lady said in the white uniform. "I'm going to a search engine." sounding determined. "And look for new patients."
