This is for all you animal lover's out there.
Hope you enjoy it

He came into our live's about six weeks ago. Everyone at work was convinced that he was aggressive and vicious. Everyone that is except myself, Heather and Kimm. They told the people that had brought him in that he was nasty, and that it would be a liability to adopt him out and that he should be euthinized. The man, Mike was furious that he was paying to board a vicious dog, so he decided to come for a visit. "Ceasar" as we called him was wary but showed no aggression. I had told Mike that Heather and I would not allow this dog to be euthinized and that we where prepared to loss our jobs over it. Mike took him that following Monday and brought him to Heather to foster. Three weeks had gone by and we kept saying that someone was missing him. Yesterday we prepared Ceasar to go to his first "adoption day".
Well today Ceasar went to the adoption day and while there was very well behaved and allowed people to pet him, though he showed no interest or emotion in anything or anyone. That was until this woman turned a corner and he went nuts. He started jumping up on her and kissing her face. The woman startled looked at him and asked "Are you Lucky?". Again he went nuts.
As it turns out Heather and my Ceasar is indeed this woman's Lucky. She had left her husband, and to get back at her he took their cat and Lucky for a ride and dumped them off somewhere. The cat had found his way home, but Lucky hadn't. The woman had been looking for him all this time and heartbroken had just about given up. It seems that her friends had talked her into coming to the adoption day today and what a surprise.
Lucky is now home with his human mom, and just in time for the week of Thanksgiving. I absolutely love the work that I do and times like these make it all that much more rewarding.

It's unfortunate that Don doesn't look at animals the way we all do. NVH is just a
money maker to him;and not a place to give "strays" a new life. Thank the Goddess that You, Heather, and Kimm are still
there and still care. This was more
than just a random thing Hunner,Heather was meant to take him; and his true owner was meant to be there I love You and know you and the girls will always look out for all
those animals that are left out in the cold!
I don't regret leaving, but I miss all my
souls with fur and yeah ok...wings too

Great Job Kiddo

It is people like you that I applaud as heroes! To defend the rights of an animal is one of the noblest callings. Thank you for seeing hope for Lucky, and providing us with a very happy ending!

Jenn & Christopher,
Thank you both.
Jenn I wish you had been able to meet Lucky... he was, is a remarkable dog. I hope that he doesn't forget me just in case our paths happen to cross again.
I can wait till we tell Don and Sue on Monday afternoon... that "We told you so",
Who knows we'll probably both get fired, but you know what... It will be worth it if we do. Thank you again Jenn, for if it wasn't for you I would have never found Passions and this wouldn't have been written.
T.

I take offense at the idea that anyone would even consider firing you over a situation such as this. Who is this cad? If my baby girl ever gets lost, I pray that she is found by caring souls such as yourselves. I could not bear the thought of her under the "JUICE" without a fighting chance.

I'm an animal lover if there ever was one. Your story really touched my heart. Not all shelter animals have such a lucky fate.

I was in floods of happy tears for Lucky who found his Mommy, until I read about Prince and am now sobbing for Prince and his Daddy.  I am still grieving for my darling horse, Flicka who went to Heaven on 28 April 2002, my darling dog, Daisy, who went to Heaven on 18 December 2009 and my darling cat, Tigger who went to Heaven on 26 October 2010.  I am ever grateful to all three of them for having chosen for me and sent me on 31 December 2011, from their Guardian Angel posts in Heaven, my darling one year old puppy, Benji and my darling four year old cat, Cleo, whose previous owners were going to send them to the SPCA (where they would have been put down if owners weren't found for them) the day I heard of them.
