Every so often something untamed crawls into a cabin and whispers or howls.

The only time one can safely look at the sun is when it is barely out of the ground or already halfway back down.

As soon as I go horizontal a more sane world takes over where rules don't exist or are so well hidden they are best ignored.

The less food I have the less I recall hunger until I eat only water, drink only air.

New orange light hits this page but the night isn't yet over. In a few hours it will be. In a few more returned and I don't care to wait or guess what it may bring this time because there is no time because I photosynthesize also, soak in light, heat, vision and burn up the oldest rot first, toss it to the indifferent, welcoming, patient and omniscient dirt until not enough remains to hold this skeleton up, concede to the other plane where a darker brightness creeps into my skull from where I don't know and according to whims I can't understand because if I had enough strength to think I would still be standing.

What leaps from the horizontal when east light grows is never what collapsed the night before, is amazed to be standing again, to whisper or howl running across the desert in search of whatever else emerges there, waits, grows.

Every cycle so far has led me to this place, this page, this solitude. Deviating from here would be the loss of this dawn.

Quite the interesting philosophical turn of phrase you have here.

The light of a new day...

The influence of dawn...

Makes me howl.

This is entrancing, Ben.

Quite the interesting collection of thoughts here. I must admit to having a few of them myself, though I've never phrased them quite so eloquently!

You have an interesting way of thinking and expressing yourself. I especially like the last paragraph of this.
