Why did this happen?
Why now?
Why this way?
That's all I want to know.

Why do I feel this way?
Why do I love him so much yet cannot trust him completely?
Why is he there and me here?
Why is all I ask.

Why have all my prayers been answered in him and yet held so far away?
Why have promises been made the will inevitably be broken?
Why has a love so wonderful been ignited when the physical touch will never fan the flame?
This is what I want to know.

These are answers we all long for. The questions I have for you are this. Why will this not happen? What is keeping you apart? If it is so very real why can't the two of you make it work? What are the barriers?

Nicely written.

To Marilyn,
Sometimes, no matter how badly you want someone, no matter how much love you think there is between the two of you, the other person refuses to reciprocate the feelings. I know as this is happeneing to me right now.
To MW,
I adore your work, it strikes a chord with me in a big way. Please write more.

Amy...this piece did not ring of unreciprocated feelings but of barriers they felt were to difficult to cross. It sounds like love via the internet, distance keeping them apart.

Why have all my prayers been answered in him and yet held so far away?
Why have promises been made the will inevitably be broken?
Why has a love so wonderful been ignited when the physical touch will never fan the flame?

This is what I am basing my assumption on.

Welcome to Prose!

I must say that while I like this piece, the format seems more like verse than prose.
