Christmas is coming My heart is aflame so much to look forward to so much will stay the same. This will be the first Christmas that Long John and I have spent as husband and wife This will be the first Christmas my sons will spend it under "our" roof. They have been here before and know the routine But not at the magical time when we trim a Christmas tree. I want everything to be perfect I want the sun and moon and stars to shine I want to see the light reflected in thier eyes once more Because, 10 short days later They will once again walk out the door. Making memories in short sentences Is a hard hard thing to do And it has to last a lifetime Before there is so much more to do. A tree to trim Packages to choose and wrap Shopping for a turkey and vegtables too and then all at once it over, the magic of Christmas morn... And for a few more days In the bright winter haze We will be a family of five... instead of just two. But as the new year breaks And the sun rises high We will have to say our goodbyes... Off into the west sky they will fly. |

Really enjoyed your family Christmas adventure, I'm sure it will turn out as beautiful if not more then you described here. You also made me realize how close it has come to being here already. |
