Here you go...you hungry people, this will wet your appetite!

Ticks On A Dog's Back

"You don't look like your enjoying your dinner dear. Is there something wrong?" She said concerned.

Worm steak again with toad and root sauce! Maybe I'll hunt down a cricket but then we'll be eating it for a week. It was bad enough trying to cut up round pulsating flesh of a worm compared to keeping away from claws and large swords attached to huge bent legs moving up and down on a cricket. Everything was like a dinosaur if you didn't cut it up fast and get to what would kill it, the thing it would have you for a meal. Then if some giant winged monster would mistake you for the kill and eat your ass in one pecking bite.

"Did you hear me?" confused. "Are you day dreaming again?"

Waking up from his thoughts Torrid answered, "Oh...yeah, that's it--I was--day dreaming." being conscious not to comment about his dinner in front of him. He knew one little complaint, she would tell him that he didn't have to provide anything that would put him out. And... they'd do like some of the others and only eat plants stuff. The thought of just eating weed roots, dandelion flower sticks just made his skin crawl. Besides what's it all about if there wasn't a little adventure in life. It sort of gives a guy a little appetite. Running for a couple of miles to hang on to something, dragged around the whole afternoon, hanging on while you cut your way into the moving flesh of who knows what. Being lucky if you could get to what might kill the damn thing. If you didn't hit a nerve having it go crazy, sending you flying covered with slimly goo just to slide down a grass stock, or peel yourself off if you were covered in that sticky membrane. "I think I'll go hunting today for some other animal--today dear."

Taking deep breaths she said, "But sweet thing we have plenty of worm left to last us for several more days." going over pushing her legs under the table while sitting on his lap. "Besides, you know how I worry about you when you've gone hunting." kissing him on the cheek giving him a hug.

He smiled and nodded. "Yes dear I do." Thinking and then said, "You know winter will be hear soon and... we'll have to start stocking up on supplies."

Shrugging her shoulders looking up in her female ways, "We can always dig up roots." grinning sexy, rolling her eyes around. "You can always stay around and play!"

He knew what that meant, not that the thought didn't make him feel like grinning too, but sometimes that's all they'd do--play. Maybe it was the smart thing to do, that is, start stocking up on the meat. If he wanted meat, and not yucky plant stuff totally. Besides If he could get a few of the boys to help him, it might not be such a job and if they where lucky they might be back before dark.

Rolling her head trying to be patient "Well you going to answer me?" looking up again.

"There's nothing more I'd like to do." taking a deep breath. "We'll get to that after I--come back." Rolling his head around looking up smiling. "It'll be a date."

"Okay--I'll be waiting for you..." grinning, rolling her eyes. She also knew how to work up an appetite. And a man will eat anything, if-in woman knows how to treat him, she thought to herself.
