Well, I would have to say that the way that I got my name was pretty boring. My mother is painting a window in my room which just happens to be by my bookshelf. Thus, all my books are heaped upon the floor. I decided when I first logged on to the internet that I would close my eyes, reach into the pile and name myself after a character in the first book I grabbed. Chance would have it that I grabbed "Cyrano De Bergerac". Not really wanting to be called Cyrano, I deemed myself roxane and it has worked out pretty well.
small note: When I went to name myself for the instant messenger, I grabbed A Tale Of Two Cities, so I go by carton57 there. I know dull story.

Whew! Actually that's a relief. The first time I saw your name, the song by the Police popped into my head, and I haven't been able to get it out since!

I think that's quite creative actually! And I have to add that it shows resolution - you found one name and stuck it!!! (Me - I would have gone through at least 10 books, hummed and hahed, thrown my hands up in despair and finally rung a friend for help!!!!)

LOL Christopher. Roxane I must admit that I too thought of that song by the Police though with Eddy Murphy singin' it. I think it was in 48 hrs. or some movie like that and the boy can't carry a tune in a bucket across the street. I am glad that it come about from a more literary standpoint lol.

In agreement with WildChild on this one. I thought of the one Eddie Murphy sang. But it was a creative way to pick your name! It was an interesting read!
