The twins had been missing for several days along with their teenage babysitter. A small Kansas town was combing the countryside for the missing children as a young couple waited nervously for word of the fate of their two babies. In the nearby county seat, a young prosecutor was babysitting his four small children including his four year old twins. The telephone rang and the prosecutor picked up the receiver. He felt a tugging at his pants legs. Both of his twins were pulling on his jeans, looking up and calling out, "Mommy." As the young attorney was glancing down at his two youngest children, over the telephone, the sheriff's dispatcher said, "the twins are dead." The prosecutor carried his twins into the living room and held them in his lap as he cried. He hated the job that he loved.

Oh my...."the twins are dead"...I read that line and my heart sank like a stone dropped in water. Very well written!!

Such a sad/happy story! When something like this happens we all tend to grab our kids and hold on.....there but for the grace of God........
