Good Morning!  I am not a real poet but am trying to come up with a poem to go along with a gift card I am giving my aunt and uncle for christmas.  So far I have:
With the economic woes I didn’t know which way to go. So a little gift that may give your spirits a lift.

I am not really good with wording but want it to say something like weather you need socks or gas this little card will take care of that.  I like the idea of rhyming.  If anyone has any ideas or anything I would greatly appriciate it!  TIA

how about this?

gifts can’t measure
my love for you
and in this economy
what’s a niece to do?

so I sat and I thought
is there something
that could be bought
to convey the love
here in my heart

would it be socks
to keep your tootsies from freezing
a nice perfume,
but would you be sneezing?

instead it occurred to me
something with a bit
of flexibility
so thoughtfully it is
that I send this gift card
with love and always
my warmest regard
