I found a short story on my hard drive. It's really just the beginning of one...I don't copy anyone's work off the Internet..if I like something, I bookmark the site. I don't remember writing this particular piece. How do I know it's mine?

Because you don't copy anybody else's work to save it. That's how you know. Who's else could it be but yours?

I find poetry I never remembered writing all the time... usually filed in my poetry folders though, but I know they're mine because I'm the only person who could have put them there. Plus, I can't understand a word of them so that's a dead giveaway that I wrote 'em. lol

Do you remember the plotline at all? Does the style sound vaguely familar?

You wrote it, Sharon. Just continue writing it since you never finished it and post it somewhere where I can read it, OK?

Hope all is well with you. Haven't talked to you in eons.

Google is the Rennaissance Man. He knows everything. I dream of him every night.

Good advice, Michael!

LOL, welcome to the world of the aging!     Ummm, did you ever see, A Murder Of Crows," with Cuba Gooding Jr.?  Scary thought isn't it?     You'll figure it out, and when you do, I hope to read it.

I Googled it and nothing came up. I guess I wrote it but I sure don't remember it. And the document is dated May 2, 2006. Six weeks ago...geesh! I need a nap.....

You could right click on the item in question and then click on properties then on the summary tab at top of page and it will tell you the author if computer is registered in your name and if you did write it.
