The song Blue Moon is a very old song, and this set me to thinking of who actually wrote the original song?....it must have been covered countless times and very well by Cowboy Junkies, but i wonder if anyone on these boards knows who wrote/sang the original?

Have a day filled with delight...and may the moon never be too blue for you..

Blue Moon

(Text & music by R. Rodgers - L. Hart)

Blue moon,
You saw me standing alone,
Without a dream in my heart,
Without a love of my own.

Blue moon,
You knew just what I was there for.
You heard me saying a pray for
Someone I really could care for.

Blue moon,
You saw me standing alone,
Without a dream in my heart,
Without a love of my own.

Blue moon...
Without a love of my own.

a great song that's been sung by so many, even Billie Holiday and Frank Sinatra, and of course, Elvis
