I know this is almost a direct violation of one of the characteristics that make poetry so enjoyable, but:

Is there a poem or poet who has written or is known for writting literal poetry? In other words, instead of creating mutliple metaphors and figurative meaning, the poem says what it wants in the literal sense of the words written and bluntly states the meaning of the poem.
It's such an uncommon request that I can't find any poetry that fits its description - probably because no poet wants to write that way.

Anyone have an information on a poet or poems that fit my description?

Oh ... keep reading ... and reading ... and reading ... I believe there's plenty of poetry here that would meet the standards of what you are looking for~

Far be it from me to point them out ...
just have a great time clicking and reading~

Dittoing Marge.

Keep reading.  Everywhere.

It will come to you, soon enough.

And the pain, or joy, of it, will be palpable.

I do. There are poems I've written that are crystal clear. I've read some of the ones you describe and it is hard sometimes to understand them.

You'll find a lot of plain speaking poets here!
