Not a big deal, maybe, but the default icon is not defaulting of late.  The only one I ever selected (#79) no longer appears and has been replaced by #47.
While I sometimes clear marked cookies after a session, and sometimes don't, this glitch has not occured before.

Has another member used your computer?

Go to the "Member's Area/Help" link at the top of your screen.  When the next page comes up, click on "Change Your Profile."  When you go into your profile, you'll see an option for your "default icon" on the list.  Choose #79 there and submit.  That should solve your problem...

Nan? this led me to wondering...there are people here whose default icons don't appear anymore, although on their profiles, it says 'default icon #whatever' and instead they just show the little blue arrow? it doesn't make sense.

Nan,
In answer to your question, yes, it happens from time to time that another pip member would use the same hardware (Are you suggesting that a cookie got half baked or something?).
However, this icon switching event occurred only recently, so there would seem to be something new or different that had not happened at other previous "opportunities".

Like I said, no big deal, just thought it might be a system glitch to know about.

You'll also notice that the default font changed (from the original entry to this reply) with no deliberate action by me.

If you use a PC other than your own, the cookies don't know to use your defaults.  For instance - If I post from school, the little blue arrow comes up - even when I'm logged in.

When Mysteria visited and used my computer, her icon took over - I had to go into my profile and remind it to use my own choice.  When I did, it reverted back...

Thanks, Nan.
That makes sense, and it's the logic I was following, but I still wonder why it has happened only recently.  Must be that something was done differently with cookie management.
I'll keep an eye on that.
