Okay, maybe it's just my computer, I am not sure.

You know when you enter the forums, well lets say I want to go to the discussion forums and if there is a new post since the last time I have been here a star will be beside that topic.  Then, when you enter that topic, like feelings for example the folders will be red if someone has posted, yellow if no activity.

Now, when I come to the forms not matter if I was here two seconds ago or three days ago, everything has stars by it, every singel forum has one.  Then, when I enter a topic all the folders are yellow even if there was new activity since the last time I been here.  The only way I can tell if something is "new" is by looking at the dates.

I was just wondering if anyone would know why this is happening?  I am having no other problems, other than the one above.  I guess I am just a bit curious.  Thank You!

There's a short article in the Troubleshooting Guide area, Miah, that will give you some information and hopefully some hints. Look for the one on Cookies.

Basically, the system keeps track of what you've seen by examining date/time cookies it has set on your computer. Chances are the link or bookmark you are using to get into the forums isn't in the correct format, so you date/time cookies are never being set. The article will give explain why and give you the correct format for entering the forums.

The rule of thumb is pretty simple to remember. Once you've seen the main forum listing and clicked on ANY THING ELSE, you do not want to set a bookmark. Only the main page sets your date/time cookies and only the first time you see it.
