I've read a lot of Ginsberg- he was at the core of the beat movement, and notoriously sexualy driven and explicit about his sexual forays- he can be long winded, but in my opinion, he's one of the more talented beat poets. Try searching for him on Plagiarist.com or someplace if you want to read his poetry... |

I will come back in a few days, as I am out of time but just noticed this Q. Allen was a dynamic poet and very important literary person. You might ask Doreen Peri, another poet here who is familiar with beat generation writers for some additional links, or I'll be back next week with some for you. I met Allen in the late 60's or early 70's in Haight Ashbury/San Francisco area, CA (also think Berkeley). |
