Why do you close the threads of poems---particularly when you don't even tell the person posting it that you closed it. You could at least send them an e-mail explaining why you've closed it. |

As Moderators, we try to make sure we always notify the poet why the poem has been closed. Sometimes a poem is closed for reasons of double-posting. Is there a specific reference you can direct to the moderator of the forum in which a poem was closed so this can be answered more thoroughly? |

The poem was closed, Lisann, because it wasn't posted by the author. We can't legally display a poem without permission directly from the author. That permission can't come through a chain of people or we potentially get into a "he said, she said" mess with no easy answers. We encourage your friend to register and share directly. And email WAS sent to you by an Open Moderator. It bounced into my mail box and went unnoticed until you posted this question. The Moderator who closed your thread (after discussion with others) didn't realize you hadn't been contacted, and that's my fault. You might want to update the email address in your Profile so they can contact you when necessary. |

Thanks for answering Ron. I just got a new comp(after 6 weeks without one----AAAAAAAAAAAGH), maybe my email is having troubles. I haven't really had the time to check into any of that yet. Thanks |
