How do I get my photo below 10 K?  Everything else is right, but it is too big.  I am using Picute It Express, so if anyone else has it and knows what to do, help me!

If you have AOL, you can go to File at the top right hand corner of the screen.  Go to "Open Picture Finder" and the "Open Picture Gallery".  Look through the pics, and open the picture that you want to put on PIP.  After it's opened, you can crop it and make it small enough to be put there.  Just keep experimenting and try submitting it.

Good luck.

First, you need to make sure you're saving it using the proper graphics format - as a jpg image. This format is uses a "lossy compression" process to shrink the file size of your image, sacrificing a bit of quality for a smaller size. And you control which side of the teeter totter you need most.

When you Save As a jpg, your graphics program should give you the option of what compression ratio to use. It may be a button labeled "Options" or "Configure" or something like that. For a 100 by 150 photo, I use 40 percent compression and that seems to be about right.
