Someone replied to my  "Lodestar" at a different site and told me "Paradelle" was just made up as a joke, and has no true roots or validity as a form.  Does anyone know if this remark is true?

It's not in my "Princeton Encyclopedia of Poetry & Poetics"... but..

There are lots of poeticisms (Did I just make up that word? I'm not sure) that may have more than one descriptive title... I don't know whether the paradelle fits into this category or not...

I do know that writing them is a real challenge - I would hardly call it a joke...going on an investigative excursion now...

The form IS in my Complete rhyming dictionary - I think that gives it some validity.
