I entered in a signature today; it is a URL. I didn't use the complete URL because I didn't want it to be a link. I was concerned about the statement that HTML is not allowed in sigs. When I used the signature for the first time, I was surprised to see it show up as a link to the site, so I edited the message and removed the signature.

So... is a link considered "using HTML" or does "using HTML" mean colors, font faces, etc? I will use the sig at the bottom of this one so you can see what I'm talking about.

Thanks

It's part of the UBB Codes that are built into the software and meant to simplify HTML. In this case, they simplify it by turning anything recognizable as an URL into an automatic link...

Thank you. I just wasn't sure if it was allowed, and my friend pointed out that people use URLs all the time; I guess I wasn't paying attention.
