Thank you for reading.

Ever watched an Olympic gymnastics competition? Or maybe figure skating? Or, for that matter, a Presidential election?

Until the finish line is crossed, the winners are unknown...

Ummm.....This may seem like a silly question, but when the "finish line" is crossed and the final count is done can we expect a list of the poets/poems that will be included in the book?

Maybe the best thing to do would be to send an E-mail to those who will be included.

I dunno, just taking up space I guess LOL

Rest assured, Jeffrey, those included in the book will be notified. In fact, they'll probably be very surprised how much work remains and get darn tired of hearing from me.

First, I'll need to get legal names and addresses, etcetera, so an agreement can be mailed to them (and one for the parents of our Teens). They'll be given a last chance to edit their poetry or prose (with some notes from me if I think there are spelling or grammatical errors that need attention). If they wish to participate in the sales of the book, there will be a short bio needed for the press releases, as well as names and addresses (and editor's name if possible) for the local newspapers. And book stores for potential author signings. We may be adding local libraries to that, too. Of course, they'll be given the opportunity to order their books. They'll decide if they want a web page on Passions or if they want to sell books on their own web site, and in either case, be given the chance to help design their pages for the book sales.  Have I forgotten anything?

Yep, they'll be notified. The one thing you won't see, though, is a list of who made it and who didn't. Nor will anyone ever see the final results of the votes. There is no first place, no last place, no competition in the sense I might have accidentally inferred above. Those who are in the book are all on an absolutely equal footing with each other. Everyone who crosses the finish line is a winner. Those who submitted and didn't make it into this book, if that happens at all, will certainly be given an opportunity for the next book. And help, should they ask, to improve their chances for that next opportunity. And rest assured (again), that with the great participation we've seen in the past three weeks, there almost certainly will be another book.

You think my response was speedy, Jeffrey? You replied to my post before I even posted!!!

Okay, just kidding. I posted, realized I wasn't finished, deleted, then added the last paragraph. But you were still darn quick to catch me between the first post and the delete...
