Most think that the Millennium will occur on December 31st, 1999 at the stroke of midnight. Where will you be? What will you be doing?

The actual start of the Millennium is December 31st, 2000 at the stroke of midnight because we must live through the entire two thousandth year before it is over. Where will you be? What will you be doing?

This year, I will be right here at home. (Alone) I don't like big crowds and though there will be a huge block party downtown, I'll stay here...I'll be interested to see the progression of the new millennium as it comes towards us around the world. I hope CNN covers it...as it hits each time zone, it will be interesting to see what happens.. I don't think anything will.  Human beings are fun to watch at times like this.

Next year is too far away to tell. I do have some plans for the whole year..not resolutions but by the end of next year, I'll dig up this thread and see if things are different.

Hmm.. this New Years Eve I'll be with at my girlfriend's house surrounded by most of my greatest friends, it's going to be a blast!  If anything should happen, and I believe nothing will, I'll be with some of the people I am closest to.

As for next millenium.. I can't say, hopefully I'll be with my friends again, otherwise lounging around the house more than likely, but I can't say for sure.

Dec. 31, 1999, I will be sitting on top of my house with an AK47 guarding against looters, til someone turns the lights back on...LOL

Dec. 31, 2000, I will hopefully be living out my dreams in Arkansas in the warmth and comfort of true love and true family.

I'll be in sunny California before this year closes (delaying that close by three hours in the process). And next year? Shoot, I'm not sure what time I'll get out of bed in the morning - and you want me to predict something over a year away?

Psst! Ron, don't go near Michael's house! He's packing a gun!  And if the Millennium Earthquake hits while you're there, catch a boat over here..I'll have beachfront property!

This year, I will more than likely be home. If I manage to stay awake. Next year? I have no clue!

This year?  Well, I will probably be right where I least want to be -- at home, alone with Jack, Jim, and Johnny.  (Daniels, Beam and Walker, that is.)  Unless someone decides to be kind and take pity on me and rescue me from this pitiful existence (At least for the span of an evening).

I have another question to add to yours, Dream -- who will everyone be kissing at midnight?

Next year?  Well, who knows?  Probably the same thing as this year, though hopefully in a different locale by then -- of course I can make my wish for Prince Charming (or at least Prince Not-Too-Annoying) before then too, can't I?

Gee! Since I said I'd be alone, I guess I'll be kissing my dog! He loves me! And next year..

I will be at a good friend's house (Dusk Treader's girlfriend, actually, who is Ruby Dagger here), for a co-ed sleepover.  I'll take this moment to say that Kelly has awesome parents.  Although they say they're gonna put the guys in the basement and nail the door shut, lol.  I'll also be preoccupied kissing my boyfriend on the first seconds of the year 2000.  grins

Next year, on the official millenium?  Hopefully with my friends and boyfriend once again.

Well, it appears I will be at this HUGE bash this upcoming New Year celebration...WAY up in the mountains! I have a friend of a friend of a friend...OK< fine, I'll admit it! My mom's friend has a house up in the middle of BFE, and is having a big party. I'll be going there with her and my good friend Rebecca... (I'll go ahead and kiss her if she promises not to tell her boyfriend!)
As far as next year... I'll consider myself blessed if I make it through the year, much less have something to do!

I will be at my best friend's home (who just happens to be my ex-husband  ) We are going to make some good Cajun gumbo, rent lots of funny movies, make popcorn, & crack open a bottle of Captain Morgan Private Stock.
As for the kissing part...I never kiss and tell!

Next year? Hmmmm...who knows...let's plan a Passions Party! LOL

I will most likely be with my surrogate family (Seaangel's) or if not that then with my closest friends - not a party girl so it will be quiet - probably just relaxing and eating bad-for-you food and then watching glorious fireworks. Since I don't actually know yet precisely what I will be doing - don't ask me about next year!!!!

THE MILLENIUM?? OH NOO!!! THE SKY IS GONNA FALL!! THE SKY..ummm..er...*clearing throat*
Okay, so I get a little sarcastic about it.
LOL!
Seriously, at the stroke of midnight? I dunno..perhaps making a toast with some tolerable tasting alcohol of some kind (I don't like wine)....kissing?? WHAT ON EARTH IS..ohh..Thats the thing that we..OH YEAH! KISSING! My husband if he gets to be home that night. The great part is that I am not currently working that horrid 4am morning job, so I'll get to stay up all night this year! YIPPEE!   Okay, so I'm gonna be honest (while I'm babbling anyways). I'll be plastered, blitzed, drunk, intoxicated, inebriated, sloshed, pie-eyed, tanked...
Umm..what were we talking about?
I don't think I've thought about it too much really as far as what I will be doing next year. I am searching for a new job. I am willing myself to go back to college.
As for an overall view, I'll have to think more on it. Thanks for making me think though.

Midnight Dec. 31/99. I will be here in my home with my children. I might rent some movies and pick up some junk food for them to eat. At midnight I will most likely be in my bed asleep. My kids are still young and won't make it that far. If any of us are still awake I will be kissing my children.

As for next year??? I guess I will see when it comes.
