If you are new to the forum, you may not understand what I am referring to in some areas...check out my "Just Wondering", and Jim Bouder's (jbouder) "Ode to Cars".

If you've ever watched a group of gals
Walk behind a guy wearing tight jeans,
You'd know exactly where their eyes would fall,
It wouldn't be at the waist or knees,
But definitely, somewhere in between.

Why this is so, is very puzzling,
More so than men making a fuss about
The cars that always draw their nuzzling.
Why eyes would fall on muscles maximus?
It is a mystery, to even us.

It is a fact that we must just accept,
Gracefully; who gives more than two hoots
If we sneak a peek around the back,
To do a check on a guy's well-formed glutes,
And watch those major muscles shift and move.

Some big-time movie stars know the allure,
Have bared these up upon the giant screen,
They've turned their backs to show contour,
And it was not their faces that were seen,
We know that these were real, with added sheen.

So, guys, remember, though the reason is not clear,
We women will be checking out the back,
A well-developed bumper in the rear,
Clad in jeans, or twills, or even gunnysack,
Will grab our eyes, if other charms you lack.

(I really love the eyes...but had to use this for a sequel)

Kris

Well Kris

Can't say that I like this subject as much as the original. This really isn't about cars, is it? But I thought I should bump it back up just in case someone wants to comment before it goes away.

Pete, Thanks for bumping this up. Of course you don't like this as much as the original...the tables are turned...   I'm just wondering about the women here...

C'mon ladies! When the subject was about our breasts (or cars, as they dubbed them), the guys responded overwhelmingly...now we've got guy's buns as a subject, and not a single gal has responded. I could analyze this phenomenon, but I won't.

I liked this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Poertree, Jim, all those other guys, YOU DESERVE IT!!!! Pete, of course you don't like this one as much! Why hasn't anyone responded?

....peace as a primary objective is dangerous because it implies that we would sacrifice anything for the sake of it....

Kris:

Page 15, Paragraph 2 of the "Manly-Man Manual" prohibits me from commenting on the male posterior.  But a friend of mine read it and I ... er ... he liked it.      He especially liked the last stanza.

He did mention to me that you might want to consider an a posteriori examination of the phenomena you describe in order to find your answer.  If that doesn't get you anywhere, the a priori "Butt for ..." logic may help you reach a reasonable ASSessment of the facts.  Butt, hey, assking the question is the first step toward finding and answer.

Jimteach,

So nice to see you in such a wonderfully witty reply. Does it help you to understand our bewilderment at men's attraction to cars, or do you think it is an assinine question to be posing in hindsight?

I suppose attempting to ride on the tail end of "Cars" popularity was hoping for a bumper crop of responses...an ASSumption which was a bit backward. Men's love of cars is held in the bosom of society, butt women's fancies are behind in exposure. We women just have to buttress our ASSociations and be ASSertive, stern, in our bottom line when it comes to the rear end of this discussion.
ASSistance and backing from other females would have buttered the buns, butt I won't be an ass...I'll just turn and watch the rear.

Thanks for your asstounding reply, not a rebuttal, but a Jimteach lesson in wit,

Kris
