Thinking of the countless times
That I have bent my mind,
To restrictions of a powerful clench.
Consumed by pain and sorrow,
I do watch and fear time,
As if there is no future hope.
I am overrun with guilt!
I am overrun with sin!
Where is the forgiveness?
Where is the unmerited love of God?
Only in the unseen  – Faith.
Only in the wishing – Hope.

Time in its days, seasons, years
Has let much bitter water touch my lips;
It has not refreshed, but soured my thoughts
And caused my heart to grow so taut.
Having once loved, and dedicated my life
To the Divine Holy Lover,
There is now much pain in our divorce!
There is fear of His retribution!
Where now will I find the River of Life?
Where can I go to eat the Healing Fruit?
Faith – In my ability to succeed.
Hope  – In my ability to survive.
