Sharon's Rose

Planted in lush pastures of Sharon,
Evidenced from above is a rose...
And He laughed with exuberant joy
When her fertile life Shiloh chose.

Ascending from rich soils of Sharon,
Its existence she has to impart...
For blooming free in salvation's grasp
Is a rose rooted deep in her heart.

Growing wild in the plains of Sharon,
Forevermore a rose will revive...
The fragrant beauty of her Shepherd's call,
"Behold, My fields are alive!"

Lighthousebob what a great name. Surely better than outhousebob(just trying to
make you laugh) Enjoyed your poem and the flow not exactly sure what you meant, but I`m from W.V. and that`s to be expected.
Maybe it`s because I love the beauty of flowers.I`m flower poor. I have about three hundred varieties. Mostly daylilies but also several roses. I got a great one this summer called Knock Out. Ten times better than any of my others. Ole yea at some point enlighten this country boy on this well
crafted poem. Also beware of any critiques from Eldridge Jackson he is worse/funnier than me. And keep an eye out for the princess
Elyse. God knows I love her but she`ll
slice you and dice you and have you for lunch. Really Elyse I`m only kidding because
your so much fun. Now don`t get me started on those brownies. All kidding aside this
is awonderful place where the feedback is
open, honest and very condusive to growth.

You write and I`ll read

Bob (ROFLMAO @ Forrest),

Very nice piece of work you have penned here. I love the play on "rose of sharon" (I have three or four of them); or am I just plain stupid, and they are also called "sharon's rose"?

Good writing, Bob,

Forrest: Thank you for the compliment. (I think.) I live in the flower prosperous San Joaquin Valley where even the weeds have flowers.  And thanks for the tip... I'll keep an eye out for those heartless critics that you mentioned.

Warm Heart: You figured out my play on words!
But, Sharon (capitalized) is a fertiley rich tract of land located between the mountains and the Mediteraranean Sea and Jesus grew up there.

Hi Lighthousebob, we have a lighthousejill (well she thinks she is, when it rains she stands down by the wharf with a flashlight in her mouth)

Ok now down to business, you wanna hear what I think of your poem and not about jill, I like your poem very much. That's it!!! LOL

Forrest is right when he says he loves flowers. He has many beautiful flowers in his garden.

I enjoyed your poem so much I decided to go look at my garden and write a poem about one of my flowers.
I call it "Crabgrass Party"

Thanks for the lovely poem.

PS if you have any rain can you send it out to Georgia.

EJ aka JEC aka Forrests brother.
