It was an unbeatable battle

I didn't believe in love,
I pushed it away,
Far,
So I wouldn't fall down,
It was an unbeatable battle.

Sitting there I wasn't strong enough,
My heart pushed it up,
My mind pushed it down,
I didn't have the level to win,
It was an unbeatable battle.

Mind kept fighting,
Heart fought back twice as much,
My heart pushed harder,
My mind had no more strength
So I have lost,
It was an unbeatable battle.

What is this I am felling?
I can't fall down,
But I fell faster and faster,
Now at the bottom,
I thought I was alone,
It was an unbeatable battle.

But there was one there,
Her love came to get me from the bottom,
Her love kept me up,
I wasn't alone anymore,
One became two,
It was an unbeatable battle.

I am to leave forever,
Never to return to that place,
Never to rise up again,
Mind tell me to just run,
Heart says be strong,
It was an unbeatable battle.

The hell with being defeated,
One is one less then two,
One less then what I will leave,
The hell with the mind,
I shall not let her fall,
I will win this damned battle.

Thank you for responding to my poem, also I think this one is very interesting, a lot of it seemed like it was from my own experience, ya it's true a lot of poems go without responses.

Thanx...I really like it when someone doesn't reply saying, "Your poem sucks...you need to learn to write like other poets do." I am not sorry to be an individual in this ****ed up life. I just am who I am. But some how people don't get that and don't like me much.

Sorry to bother you here but I don't have time to e-mail you right now (it's a long story). Anyway, multiple posts are frowned upon. Is there anyway you can let me know which one's you want to keep (I'll give you two) so I can delete the rest?  Stagger the posts more and you'll probably get more responses to each individual poem. Oh, and be sure to respond to as many other poems as you can. Thanks.

Two other points (hate to be a nag):

First, profanity and asterisked profanity are generally not allowed here -- yeah, we bend the rules now and then but please be careful. It makes for a more enjoyable forum for all.

Second,
I'm not sure what the above conversation is referring to but we do try to have at least one response per poem (some do slip through the cracks -- but I certainly don't think it's a lot).  I hope not anyway.

Brad

PS While 'this poem sucks' is not something you'll hear here -- again, I hope that is the case -- if someone doesn't like your poem, it usually means the opposite of what you're saying. It sounds too much like everyone else.
