I am 15 years old and have been writing poems for about a year now.  Unfotunately I no longer do so as I don't feel the need.. but there you go that's life.
I often used to write them to tell people how I was feeling at the time.  This way I never had say to anyone how I was feeling at the time.
In the end my close friends on the internet got used to my style of writing and guessed what they meant every time.  So did they become pointless..... maybe.
I now continue to read other's poems and I learn a great deal from them.
Poems are like magic they can take you on a journey inside someone's mind .....if written properly.
Enough of me .... here a a few of my poems.
I agree they are not good but then again is that the point.
This is not stricly a poem but more of feelings but I feel it taught me alot about the world

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

One day you will see that everything I do, I do for a reason and
whatever the reason maybe you can never question it.  As the only
person who fully understands why I do things the way I do is me.
Even if I explain to you what I am going through I can never
explain fully the way I feel.  So in some ways you are always left in
the dark but never on purpose it is just the way it is.  Everybody
sees the world in different ways, different colours, different images
of things.  Some may see some things as important to them but
others may just dismiss them, as they have no importance to the
way their life is run.  Everybody is different and although some
days people may have the same point of view they will never agree
on everything.  I see things in a different way to you and the same
goes for everybody else, even the smallest things like a bird on a
wall.  People may interpret as nothing or as something very
important.  These are the kinds of things I am talking about.  You
will never know what I am thinking you cannot even try to guess,
you may be able to feel my moods but never what is really inside
my head.  The only person who knows how I feel at every moment
is me and even I get confused sometimes !  Never try to get into my
mind.  It is one of the most guarded places in  my body.  The only
way in is through me myself.  You can do anything you want in
your mind, all you have to do is have enough faith to believe that
only you will ever know what you are thinking.
So listen carefully to what I have to say, even if you are not
interested.  You may not agree with what I say but remember we
are never going to agree as our minds are not the same.
The best place to work things out is in your head.  It is the only
place where you can without anybody interpreting or judging you
on the way you act.  But if your head becomes too full with ideas
then it is time to clear out some of the rubbish that may not be
needed anymore.  I know from experience that it is hard to let go,
But do you really need those thoughts anymore? Or are you just
keeping them so you will never forget?  But don't worry they will
never leave your mind completely.  The best way to get rid of them
is to write them down.  As soon as the pen touches the paper all
your thoughts run through your arm and onto the paper.  You can
end up writing for hours and hours and never find that solution to
what you are thinking.  Keep locking it is there somewhere and
someday you will find it.  You will feel a whole lot better.  Keep
the paper you write on and you can always look back at the bad
times and believe me you will see that they were not really that
bad.
Never wake up in the morning feeling sad or angry.  Remember, it
is a new day and you can never predict what is going to happen,
whether it is good or bad.  Wake up every morning knowing that it
is a new day and new things will happen to you and the people
around you.  This is how the world works and you can never try to
change it.  Always go into everything without any doubt in your
mind that it will be of some use to you in the future.  Everything
you hear or see tells you something.  When someone says
something it will tell you something about that person.  Whether
you knew it or not.  In one day you may learn lots of things which
will be very useful to you some day.  Other days you may learn
nothing new, instead it will just make you certain of the things you
do know.  But never forget you have never learnt enough there is
always room for more.  Take every chance you have to do things as
they can be taken away from you with no warning at all.  Never
forget the friends you have.  They may be the most important thing
in your life.  Some people may go through difficult times.  These
times may last days, weeks or even years.  You can never compare
your problems to other people's.  You may travel the world and
meet new people.  They will all be different.  No two people are the
same.
In your mind you can dream up the most amazing things, anything
you want at anytime you want.  So don't worry, never stop thinking
because someone tells you to.  Your mind is one of the most
powerful things you have.  You can keep in it so many things.
Memories of people, dreams of you future or maybe just everyday
things.  Without a mind and imagination you are not able to see
the world in it's full glory.

Thank you ever so much for listening

Regards

Hi Babe,

It seems you have a lot to tell, and so it is very fortunate that you have stopped writing. Just because your friends got used to your style and could guess what you meant, doesn't mean that you should stop writing. Many times we write for others--- to make other feel great, or to share their happiness or sadness, or to preach love. So do continue writing. If you hadn't posted it here, I wouldn't have read it, and consequently wouldn't have learned what I have learned from you. Thanks for sharing your poem. And I hope you will start writing again.
