I couldn't miss the intriguing web,
Glistening, encrusted with dew,
The spider's perfect weaving,
Reflecting the setting sun's hue.
It went from rose to railing,
The shape an architect's dream,
Ornately designed in the corner,
Clinging fast to the old wooden beam.
While the master of this creation,
Waited silently for his prey,
With his enticing lure beckoning,
I ran for the insect spray !!!

BSC

I read your poem and laughed a little. Especialy the last line.  I think though that some of the lines are a little cumbersome.

THanks

CSB,

I thoroughly enjoyed your poem. It paints a beautiful picture of one of nature's most beautiful gems.  And it made me smile at the end.
