This is tongue-in-cheek, ladies, and Shock....

we were just talking...
okay, I was a little angry,
raised my voice...
just once or twice,
might've shook my fist
as I spoke,
then, for absolutely
NO reason whatsoever,
she starts to cry...
Geez!
I put my arm around her
lightly, and patted her back,
C'mon, babe, I said,
And she pushes me away!
walks out of the room!
Slammm...
there went the bedroom door...
what did I do???
don't have a clue???
she's so damn emotional,
what time is it?
game's on at two!

*waa haa haa haa* i love it!!! (it's sadly true also)... i hope i never end up like that *praying for God to keep him from the curse of being macho*

sincerely,

A savage place! as holy and enchanted
As e'er beneath a waning moon was haunted
By woman wailing for her demon-lover!

Hello,

Well after reading this....wait a sec....the game's on at two?....can't talk right now....sorry, gotta go!

"ta-he-he-he"...

Well since it's just light-hearted stuff I'll put away my exacto knife and just say that it's pretty funny and although heavily stereotyped it does tell some truth....but not about me of course....no sir....no way.....no how and no ma'am....but why the hell are you women always crying?????

Take care,
Trevor

Kris:

I was deeply offended by this.  Do you mean to imply that all men are belligerent, ignorant brutes who RAISE THEIR VOICES AND SHAKE THEIR FISTS SO THAT THEY CAN DOMINATE THE WOMEN WHO LOVE THEM?!?  ARE YOU SAYING THAT WE MEN CARE LESS ABOUT THE FEELINGS OF OUR GIRLFRIENDS, FIANCES, AND WIVES THAN WE DO THE SUPERBOWL, HOCKEY AND PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING?!?  IS THIS WHAT YOU ARE SAYING, HUH?!? HUH?!?

*Jim sputters off fighting apoplectic fits inspired by his righteous anger*

LOL.  Was I as amusing as a feminist just now?  I hope so.    Aside from being STUFFED with half-truth and exageration (lol again, I liked this, Kris.

warmhrt--

LOL, loved it!

you need a title, though;  how about that all-purpose male word, that sums up a man's depth of understanding and empathy in these types of situations:

"Huh?"

good one, kristine, thanks.

WAS THAT A SHOT AT ME JENNI?!?  HUH?!?  HUH?!?     LOL.

Seriously, Kris, your guy in here is nothing like a REAL guy.  Where is the horniness and the beer?  Wouldn't a REAL guy be out with his friends while the wife was home with the kids?  Come on ... where's the realism, the authenticity?  LOL.

Thanks again for the fun.

allright kiddies, my intention wasn't to start a battle of the sexes, it was simply to point out, that we fellas could show a little more care and respect in relating with the women folk and their presence in our life, for no matter how self justified a mans life is in his own eyes, on judgement day, all "macho, macho man" will not be able to stand"

Jerome,
Keep praying...   Instead of, "Amen", though, say, "Awomen". That'll help keep the Machos (do they come with salsa?) away.

Trevor,
So you don't want feisty women hanging around in here. Wahhawahwahha...*sniffle*
SLAMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! (the door to CA)

Whiffle,
                   HUH????

Brad,
Why would a guy even ask a woman a silly question like that? We know men from the inside out. You're about as easy to get inside of as...forgot...I promised Jim I wouldn't psychoanalyze him anymore.

Jenni,
LOL  That is THE perfect title!   Thanks

J.B.
You're welcome.   Need to put a bit more righteous indignation into the feminist imitation.....

Shock,
HUH???????????????????????????????????????

Shelley,
Thanks....I loved the rest of your reply!

Hello,

Kristine:

I'd run after you and apoligize but the big-game is about to start, sorry, one has to keep their priorities in order   Thanks again for the giggles this poem has created.

Shock:

I don't think a battle of the sexes is what Warmhrt is intending either. It's good to sometimes look at ourselves as a person, as a gender and laugh at the stereotypes that encase us. Knowing that we are silly little creatures helps us towards a better understanding of ourselves....you know the old saying...if ya can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't be laughing at others. Maybe you should be flattered instead of peeved that the poem was thought provoking enough to inspire a spinoff poem. In any case, I'm positive her friendly ribbing was done to lighten up the atmosphere.

SHELLY:

Tooooo funny, but tooooo true as well

So tell me guys .. What does it say about us that women seem to understand every move we make, but we are just sooooo "confused by their irrational antics"??

Is it that we just like baseball more than them (figure that out..lol), or is there something deeper here? (And don't cop out by sayin' that there's nothing deeper than baseball ..lol)...

                  ~

Kris .. WHAT a thought provoking piece !!!!! .. took me all night (and 8 pints ..lol) to explain to the lads "down the pub".

Actually, I tell a lie, it was really Mike (y'know the sensitive long distance lorry driver i told you about) who spotted the clue ... so clever hidin' it there in the middle .... "Babe" ....

Well after that of course it all fitted together, dead giveaway it was. A great piece Kris, about Pigs !! (Btw if you want to send Mike a thank you - his is a pack of Budweiser).

Good on yer lass .. can't wait for the next

Philip
