Unspoken words
by miss abagail mannering& Mike Jargo

Tonight, in this light,
you look like an angel.
Distant memories don't seem so far away.
The words, the sweet words
you wanted to hear so long ago
came tumblin' out without a doubt
'cause i knew just what I had to say.

*chours*
(whispered) So I said:
(sung) I know I never told you
       what was on my mind.
       I never said the words
'cause I thought I had SO much time.
But the years passed by so fast
       and before I knew it
you slipped through my life and were gone...
(whispered)
and I never got to tell you
that I loved you all along.
*************

You smile your smile so sweet and tender
and reach for me with arms wide open.
Your reaction takes me by surpirse
'cause it's more than I'd been hopin'
(spoken) So I repeated:

*chorus*

(chorus 2)
My angel, my angel, my sweet lovin' angel
you came to save this poor devil tonight.
My angel, dear angel, my sweet angel
you came to take this lost soul to the light.
My angel, my angel my sweet lovin' angel
you saved me from Hell
and from a heart turned cold...

(spoken)
And I said:

(Chorus 1)

The first two lines of the song were from Jargo, and I wrote the rest..it was for his band...never was put to music. Written 8/25/99

Abagail,

I think music would do justice to these lyrics...I like them but it is hard to see the "great" parts of a song with just the words.  I'll try to make one up for myself...
The lyrics alone though are exellent, though I think the Angel theme has been a bit overused...Thanks.

Hello Abigail.
I thought it was very meaningful and pleasant.  The only thing its missing is a beat.  IF you could establish a beat to it it would be SOOOOO wonderful.  Keep up the good work.
