Written for all the kids in the world who have to endure their parents' divorce. Who gets hurt the most? Usually the kids.

The child looks around him,
Finds himself alone.
His Mom and his Dad
Do not live in one home.

He cries out to anyone,
Does anybody hear?
With trembling lips and a shaky hand,
He wipes away a tear.

Don't anyone live 'til death do they part?
Don't true love ever stay in the heart?
When better gets worse do you just say good-bye?
Now tell me, is love just a lie?

Now the child is forced to choose
Who he loves the most.
Soon precious love,
Becomes a frightening ghost.

Afraid he'll hurt his Mom,
Inside he loves his Dad.
He cries inside and tries to hide
All the love he still has.

Don't anyone live 'til death do they part?
Don't true love ever stay in the heart?
When better gets worse do you just say
good-bye?
Oh tell me, is love just a lie?

Memories of my childhood come back to me. You translate it so well and yes, children always suffer. Well done. : )
