She's on the edge of confusion,
Lost in a dream all her own.
She reaches for a hand to hold,
Finds a heart cold as stone.

If anyone was listening,
They'd hear the screams she cannot voice.
She'd like to turn around and run,
But she doesn't have the choice.

So she just stays,
Waiting for the pain to pass.
So far away,
Is the dream that never lasts.

On the edge of confusion,
No one's ever been found.
On the edge of confusion,
Life just keeps spinning 'round.
