Eight hundred years of slavery, and still now we are enslaved
Our ancestors fought for our equality, and look how we behave
We kill our own, in cold blood, and toss their bodies in the bay
You've just murdered some poor child's daddy, now what do you have to say?
And the biggest problem, that I have is with the mentally enslaved
Just because you grew up in poverty, doesn't mean you'll have to stay
If Martin King were aware of this, he'd turn over in his grave, the thought of all of that marching, was it all done in vain?
We're just to obsessed, over the fact that we've been oppressed, suppressed and repressed that we refuse to strive for success
So we debate, over our fate, and we hate, and this causes us to suffer and suffer and suffer until we suffocate
We must realize that times have changed, and we don't have to remain, feeling the pain, from the years that our ancestors were enslaved
Let's focus on our achievers, not the deceivers, the believers and not the mis-leaders
For if we unite, we can win this fight, and the victory of this fight, will give our brothers and sisters insight, on how to exit the dark & walk towards the light

(This goes out to all of my brothers and sisters who are mentally bound)
