KINDEST WORDS

Those sorrowful words,
You spoke to me,
Telling me goodbye,
I fear my dear,
Were quite clear,
But ne'er once did I cry.

Those words my love,
That you said with triumph,
Hoping to cut me to the quick,
I'm sorry to say,
That on that fine day,
I laughed so much I got sick!

Those bitter words,
You threw at me,
Leaving me forever,
Made me regret,
Not one thing yet!
And made my life all the better.

Those sorrowful words,
I say were the kindest,
For when I remember that day,
I know that for certain,
I'm a much better person,
For letting you go away.

I loved your poem! I loved the way you expressed a woman's emotions of a man leaving them. It was great because men always seem to think that when they leave us we're at home crying, but in reality-they did us a favor-of course before we leave them, so they do their own favor.
