Cancer 010
Neuroendocrine Tumors
Malignant Poorly Differentiated
(HCC)

Cancer I understood.

But the above subtitle
scares me to death -
not only can I not pronounce it,
it sounds like some
Alien disease straight out of
the farthest and deepest
unexplored, dark and dank jungle
just waiting to be found
so it can cast a plague
across the world
and end the human race.

At least it's exotic sounding (kinda)
so all I need now
is a Mai Tai, an island girl,
the sun sinking into the ocean,
and the blue-white phosphorus
lighting the edges of incoming waves . . .

Ha! All I'm going to get
is those damn RR Spikes
shoved into my Un-huh again,
on Tuesday, and I still
won't be able to pronounce
whatever it is I have.

Ah well, just give me the
Mai Tai and the girl
and I'll spit in its eye!

James...Really hate to hear this diagnosis what ever that five dollar word means,
but love the positive attitude you have.

I would walk this road for you or with you if I could.

Really loved the closing stanza, Reminds me of John Wayne in "True Grit"

Take care my friend and be safe...Paul

John Wayne, Huh?  Maybe he gave me this lung/liver cancer! I mean I was with him on every cattle drive, shoot'em up, Indian hunt and true dective he ever had.

Never smoked myself, but just breathing the air around he was more than enough to afflict me, from what I hear.

Hopefully I'll get through this just as stoically as he did - although, I put feelings into everything.

Thanks Paul - my friend . . .
