Too many lonely miles out on the highway-
And far too many lonely motel rooms.
Too many calls from some old way-side payphone,
I’ve found a happy matrimony dooms.

In a million miles you see a lot of country-
But I guess I haven’t had that many friends.
No hopes, no plans, no dreamy aspirations-
You’re born, you live, and then the journey ends.

Too far from home, too far from wife and family-
Sometimes will turn a true love into hate.
And even when you have those good intentions-
You find you’ve done too little, far too late.

The moral of my missal is so simple-
Be satisfied with simple things in life-
Content to settle down with wife and children-
Before too late, you’ve wasted your whole life.

Great poem!
Distance can make things seem lonely.
Sometimes we forget how the little things are important.
Time may pass...our words(poems)will live on past us.
