all the grand illusions that went before
the playful art of want to be
the talus brings back memories
we make our own faults
to be concerned with a midnight eye
upon which we fall down laughing.
once there was a moon I could see
that faced this world
and made me, me
Once there was a path I walked
that was deadly
yet out I came
to force the valley of shadows along
we became deaths friend
all singing the songs
ludicrous takes of a wasted land
that bore our lives
wanting more always more
to hells angels we have wrought
the poison of love
we always felt
between the incinerator of the cities streets
well, gladly we say
for all to see.
yet once, again once I would swap my tears
for a chance to hold court with you
in the dinge of a ruby glassed bar
talking about the nonsense we all have found.

MG, I enjoyed your metaphors, & I thought
it was interesting the use of "talus",
also really liked this.."for a chance to
hold court with you in the dinge of a ruby
glassed bar"

"yet once, again once I would swap my tears
for a chance to hold court with you
in the dinge of a ruby glassed bar
talking about the nonsense we all have found."
