A Crowded Sky~

Emotions billow overhead..
Endless Stars nod in compassion,
Prayers shove upward at the darkness,
Fantasies & Lies
Kin with confusion,
Burn heavy smoke that
Escapes out the chimney
With a gasp.

First pelts of rain
Soak radiant leaves,
A grandiose calypso-dance
To silhouette a seasons end.

There are many endings
Beneath this crowded sky..

There is a mournful feeling to this.  A focus on a season passing.  Never thought of how many wayward wishes might linger in the sky, trying to catch up to their intended stars but I bet you are right, I'm sure it's crowded up there.

The though of a heavy rain proclaiming a new season would be reason enough to dance in it for me.

Oh, I really enjoyed the pace and visuals in this poem Sky. I loved the nod of the stars and the gasp of the smoke. Beautifully written.

Best wishes,
/Kit

I know it's not very productive, but I just get the urge to follow your poems around and sigh at them constantly.  I can't break them down into favorite parts because each part is amazing!
