Fair to middlin' of nowhere

0 posted 2020-08-23 07:08 AM

I’m getting edgy.
I don’t like it.
Too much tension
for far too long.
It makes me
irritated and impatient
when I see deliberate deception
played upon ignorance.
My soul cringes at
the immoral indifference
of greed
that propagates the poor.
My heart,
oh my heart,
how it breaks
that violence
has been given
a seat at the table
of our Nation’s Buffet.
My sequestered rage
is stoked by the toll man
collecting his coin,
knowing full well
the bridge is out.
My moral indignation
is hoarse from screaming
What would Jesus do?
at deaf Christian Haters.
Let me not leave out
the fear mongers
who milk us like cows
and sell our fear for profit.
Then lay this all neatly
in the bed of a killing
nightmare.
I am on edge.
I do not like deep sighs
that echo in my toes
a sense of helplessness.

Amen to that!
Most of the time I feel like I'm barely hanging on..wolves at the door..

Powerful outpouring Lori..all of us can relate to.

The world is changing.  So much of the deliberate deception going on...it's a very hard task to keep one's eyes open.  Sucks the life out of me, truly.  Friends being wolves, huh...I can relate to that.

Yes, the change is terrifying but it was all foretold and warned...Jesus has it all in His hands and knows ALL that is happening...His time will come and I pray it will be soon...I feel every word and pray for you and all that have to live in such a world as this...thank you for putting my feelings into words that mean so much

Wow! a poem in itself -

"I do not like deep sighs
that echo in my toes
a sense of helplessness."
