Kingswood (Diatelle)

Breeze
Leaves sway
Whipped away
Amidst grey skies
The trees will bend yet stay
Rooted deep that no storm may prise
From loam nor earth nor clodden clay excise
The gale may rage and shriek amongst unyielding trees
The wind, the ash and oak and elm defies
The gusts, the blows, the howls, the cries
As dancing leaves delay
The wind its prize
One more day
And they
Ease

I'll admit the form is new to me.  You did very well with it though.  trees are very resilient in the face of nature, it's only when they have to face man they struggle.

Matrshalzu...This looks like a very hard style of writing. The shape and the rhyme well done. I'm sure Balladeer would enjoy this very much since he was always exploring different types of poetry...Paul

@Michael. A completely new form for me as well. Thanks for the read

@2isnander2. Oh it was definitely a battle, I was watching the wind play through the leaves and branches of the woods behind my house as I wrote. Thanks for the read.

@Paul Wilson. I would have loved to have Balladeer critique it, I've spent quite a bit of time reading his words in the workshop since my return and will definitely be trying  a few of the forms he championed there.
