Fruition

The first thing that they took from you?  Your God.
A million ways they say His Word’s a fraud.
As many other options they present,
Whose only real goal: sow discontent.
There’ll always be an argument to doubt it,
But I just look at where we are without it.
For those who say that we’re better off now,
There’s only one word I have for you: How?

‘Next thing they took was your identity…
Turns out you gave it up most willingly.
Taught dysfunction and discord young, in school,
Never satisfied, the new golden rule.
Do we want more genders or none at all?
A question that I’m sure is to appall.
Yet two gay men I.D. as female now,
And we must call them lesbians somehow?

We’ve given up the hope to recreate,
Point fingers to the past and call it fate.
If not born owed, I guess we have to pay,
For they won’t have it any other way.
No, everyone knows they must choose a fight,
And curse the country that gives them the right.
Angered, with never an ounce of research,
Too caught up in it to see it’s a smirch.

They’ll wait in line to be handed a sign,
March, yell, thrown things, pound cars, and think it’s fine.
Asked why?  Their puzzled looks are a disgrace!
No idea why they’re here in the first place.
If our past actions were atrocity.
How are yours today not hypocrisy?
Ask me to kneel before the flag, that’s cute…
When it’s one our kids aren’t allowed to salute.

That shows you just how long this war’s been going,
Bulk of Americans not even knowing.
Most of our youth too caught up in the fighting,
To even see what it is they’re inviting.
Change is needed, that argument I’ll yield,
But as you burn all, what plans are revealed?
Are you so sure I am your enemy?
If so, I fear all else you just don't see.

The part of this dark drink I find most scary,
So much of it is all reactionary.
Just when was the capability lost
To think for self and maybe weigh the cost?
Of actions you’re about to entertain,
That in the end will only harvest pain.
As, today we’re but paying the tuition
Of past corrupted seeds come to fruition.

Hey, Paul…Thank you for the very kind reception.  Writing this kind of felt like poking the bear…and, truly, that’s just something I feel needs to be done right now.  If we don’t stand up and do something, we are going to lose this country.  I know that change is demanded, and much needed in some areas, but if this is how you bring it about, I cringe to think of what the changes that result from it will be.  I do not have any social media accounts, but I give you, and anyone else here who wishes, permission to post this on my behalf.

About the beard?  A member emailed and said new pics didn’t show up on their device.  I posted a new one to see if I could recreate the problem.  It seems I have.  I guess that means  it’s time to investigate...

Michael...I don't use any of those social media things either but I bet Ron or Temptress might if they are in agreement with our thoughts on this subject. I say let the beard grow for a month or so and see what it looks like. My beard is always kept well trimmed and I grew a pony tail last year that I still have it's about 10" long.
Hell it's my hair why not? Saves me about 30 bucks a month.,.Paul

Glad you liked it, Sky~  been holding my thought in on these subjects for quite awhile.  that's never healthy, so yes, it felt like I was shouting even if i wasn't.
