If these four walls,
had a story to tell.
Would you understand their agony?
In the silences swirling the room,
would you know that we were here all alone?

Would they tell you how I cried..
myself to sleep last night again?
Or would they tell you that I sit here in the silences,
wondering when I'll see you again.

Would they tell you,
I am sinkin', my lighthouse is dim..
my soul is breakin' down again.

Would these walls paint a picture of the loneliness,
that this truly is?
Tell you about the time, I stayed up all night,
painting nothing until it was something,
and nothing again.. and again.

The canvas was white, then the skies were blue.
The ocean met the sun on the horizon.
Then the waves crashed into each other, as the
sky grew darker and darker, the moon was covered up by the clouds.. and the thunder clapped, and my paint splattered across the canvas.. and then the clouds, moved on again...
The moon waved goodbye, as the sun began to rise, just in time to say hello to the night's last goodbyes.

Would the walls tell you,
I am not fairing to well all alone.
Seventy-Seven days since I saw your face or held you in an embrace.
but I love you just in case,
we have another seventy-seven days to go.

I wish I could attach the image of the actual painting, but there is not such a thing here. I apologize!

Kellie,
I like to say love is an awfully wonderful thing. Nothing but love can make you feel so wonderful or so awful, often at the same time.
I think you painted your emotions well here.
(I also thought that there was a way to post a photo, you might want to double check) Would love to see your art, you could repost the poem if you wanted. ~L

Kellie - When we peel back the layers of our life, it's always amazing the truths we find there. What would the peeled back layers of a painted canvas reveal of the artist's emotions and what would the adjoining walls say indeed. Intriguing work K. Namyh

This reminds me of a couple of songs about walls. . .

Hello, Walls by Faron Young
and
Flowers on the Wall by The Statler Brothers

I would love to see the art that inspired this. . . It must be an excellent piece. . .
