Fair to middlin' of nowhere

The song runs through my head and heart.
It touched my soul from the very start.
I have heard so many different people sing it
and in their own way they always bring it.
Love in it’s joy is glorious
and when it is lost, the pain it is notorious.
Never heard it quite so well said
of the loss when love is dead.
I know because I’ve been through it a time or two
and seen first hand the words are true.
A cold and broken hallelujah is a line
that does perfectly define
what’s been lost
and at what cost.
Hallelujah,
I recommend it to ya.
I hope what you hear
pleases your ear
and touches you
like it did me too.
Halleluja!
