Starlight Café

Tonight our only light is the highway
coming alive in neon red and blues
the Nevada desert and sky run violet
and here we're painting love in secret hues
you come up slowly to me
and I just drink in the view
take my hand darling don't let me fade away
tonight it's just strangers and shadows
in the Starlight Café

Aridity of my lips parting only to say
I wished on the heavenly sight of you
in a gas station glass window sunray
reflect into my eyes and I'm blinded by truth
I turn dreamily to see
the same shape I once knew
take hold of me and take me to the end of day
aridity of my lips thirsty for your kiss
and the Starlight Café

All the spinning careening cosmos
open for us
we'll feel the last of the heat as it goes
in a circle of dust
when the cold comes even the desert's surprised
the hawk in the distance he gets wise
so on and on he flies
but you and me tangled up in each other
we'll be okay
silhouette of two lost lovers
in the Starlight Café

Tonight our only candle is the skyway
a wheel of a million stars up there
the Nevada desert out there in darkness
and here we're painting love with care
you wrap your arms around me
and I smell roses in your hair
take my hand darling now what do you say
tonight it's just you and me and that's everything
in the Starlight Café
silhouette of two lost lovers
in the Starlight Café

Souls, This has a Wonderful Aura all its own,
& it makes one want to be at that 'Starlight
Cafe'.

Enjoyed..

Christmas may be a day of feasting,
or Prayer, but always will be a day of Remembrance, in which we think of everything we have ever Loved.
