Hermit Who is this man, who walks these halls? Whose shadow flits these shadowed walls Without pause, nor the grief to mourn Those dreams in him that died unborn? How can he just wake up and go On with his life, without a show Of emotion upon a face So long ago brought to disgrace? Does he not feel a thing at all As he answers a new life’s call? Or is this just his race towards death, Each day one more holding his breath? Who is this man with show of poise? Who hears nothing but muddled noise? Nearsighted stare baffling sense, Unconcerned of the consequence. A simple song, rippled through time. A name whispered in careless rhyme. As the hermit shuts himself in, The world, it moves on without him. Michael Anderson |

He is a bard, as yet, unsung- With words to help, hid in his tongue Poetic friend, do not despair- Nor lose all hope for maiden fair. On this one thing you can depend- A lot won’t matter, in the end- While now some fool may think them trite We will live on, in what we write. |
